The main focus of our laboratory is to clarify the fundamental properties of interactions between elementary particles and nuclei. We mainly investigate "strong interaction" in nuclei and hadrons. The world of "strong interaction" is so rich world that takes on completely different aspects depending on its energy scale.
We continue to challenge ourselves to understand this world in terms of the meson-nucleon and quark-gluon degrees of freedom by developing new experimental techniques.
One of the characteristics of our laboratory is that we have a wide variety of themes, such as the strangeness nuclear physics using high-intensity beams at J-PARC and the physics of unstable nuclei with radioactive beams at RIBF.
All of our research themes involve development of experimental equipments, so this is the perfect laboratory for those who want to conduct new experiments and researches with their own devices.
